Jp Morgan

Job Role: Finance (Management Accountancy)

Company Info:

Since our inception over 200 years ago, we've evolved to offer the whole spectrum of global banking and financial services, and in many cases, we've helped define them. It is the combination of character, product strength and intellectual capital that sets us apart as an industry leader. We invented the concept of relationship banking back in the nineteenth century, and we are still doing “first-class business in a first-class way.”

Today, we work together across our businesses and around the globe to meet the complex financial needs of corporations, governments, private firms, financial institutions, non-profit organizations and individuals.

J.P. Morgan employs more than 70,000 people globally, and the firm has assets of $2.2 trillion. We have offices in more than 50 countries and clients in more than 100 countries around the world — and as a testament to our global platform and leadership, lead the industry in most markets in which we operate. Founded in 1799 in the United States, J.P. Morgan is truly a global organization. Our roots in Europe date back to 1838, and we've been in Asia since 1872.

Job Description:

Analysts joining us through the Finance (Management Accountancy) Analyst Development Programme will partner with the business to provide both tactical and strategic support across regions and functions throughout the firm. You'll assimilate and analyse disparate information to improve processes and draw conclusions that have a direct impact on both J.P. Morgan and our clients. Analysts in the programme will benefit from three distinct rotations spanning different functions, lines of business and responsibilities. This rotational programme will give you excellent exposure on which to build a future career.

The work is hugely varied. You could be producing financial statements, reporting results, monitoring our compliance for regulators, stress testing our processes, assessing and managing risk, optimising the firm's tax position or preparing the company's financial returns. You could also be requested to deliver on ad hoc projects, specific to your area, enabling you to stretch yourself while learning new skills.

During the first three years at the firm, you will be supported as you study towards the prestigious CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification. CIMA is a globally renowned qualification that will prepare you for a successful career in business. By undertaking CIMA, you will learn how to act as a strategic advisor, how to go about executing key business decisions and how to successfully manage risk for our businesses, as well as numerous other key attributes.
