Job Description:

The great technological advances we’re making aren’t just benefiting us – they’re also making it easier for our customers to shop. It’s a booming part of our business, and the clever analytical minds that can make the right connections and create the cost-saving opportunities needed to keep our brand on top are some of our most valuable assets – and can expect equally valuable rewards.

So if you find yourself drawn to the business-side of technology, you’ve just found a scheme worth saying yes to. It’s not a technical scheme; more about learning how we use technology to support the business. First, you’ll learn the role of Business Analyst, helping translate real business problems into usable IT solutions. After that, you’ll be able to work in a whole host of different areas such as infrastructure support, system architecture and project management.

You’ll work at two sites: Paddington in London and Stockley Park near Heathrow. Based within the Project Management team, you’ll learn more about the projects the IT Group are delivering to the business – from our website to our warehouses, and to the retail systems that are revolutionising the way our customers shop.

An IT degree is good but not essential, however you will need an avid interest in how business takes advantage of technology and innovation. You’ll also need to be a logical thinker, who can work through problems carefully and come up with inventive new ways of solving them.
