Job Description:


The role of a Merchandiser in Arcadia is to analyse how the product is performing in our stores. They will make decisions as to which stores a product should be sold in and whether a product is restocked. Some people think that itís just about working with spreadsheets, but itís about understanding what the numbers are telling you and then forecasting accordingly.

In Arcadia, Graduate opportunities in Merchandising start with our entry level role as a Merchandising Administration Assistant (MAA). Depending on the brand that you work in, there are different types of Merchandising Opportunities.

In an MAA role, you will look after a specific category for all of your stores, which means that you get to know your product really well and know what sells in what stores. In a Branch Merchandising role, you will look after a geographical location for all products in your stores, which means that you really get to know the customer demographic for the region.

Due to the tremendous international growth that we have seen, there are also opportunities to be an International MAA. In this role you will look after all categories for a country and this really helps you to understand the culture of the country and what sells.
